  • Choir update???

    Hi there,

Need to know where you are in regards to releasing your choir (with word building). There is a competitive choir that has just announced a group buy that is very enticing. I will hold off if your progress will result in a release in the next couple months. I would appreciate your reply ASAP.

  • Oooo-- I'm watching this one, too (and I already have EWQLSC!!)

  • Herb and Co,

Any update possible? Looks like I have until the end of the month to commit but would like to know ASAP. Thanks.

  • rob, i'm really not the right person to post such a statement, but unfortunately i have to tell you that *end of month* is definately unrealistic.

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.

Sorry Christian for the confusion. I don't mean RELEASING VSL's Choir by the end of the month - just WHEN 'about' it will be released.

If you were to say that it will probably be around December, I would probably wait for your release. If you say April, I would buy the QLSC. Hope that explains it well.

  • I guess I am taking the 'silience' as - "it is still a ways off for the release of the choir". If I don't hear back on any more information in the next couple days I'll get this group buy (I have been wanting it anyways and this price is hard to walk away from.)

    Rob

(By the time your choir is released I'll still probably give it serious consideration - especially if it is a dramatic improvement over QLSC.)

  • Rob - when will you ever learn [:D]

  • I am a slow learner [:O]ops: PLUS - I would really rather buy the unheard VSL choir than the QLSC choir - but at $400 - not sure I can walk away from it.

  • I *love* EWQLSC.

Of course I'm not saying VSL won't come out with something great too, but in the meantime $400 is a no-brainer for EWQLSC. Besides, I can't see that it could ever be money down the drain. It's very unusual for a modern-era library to come out that causes you to totally shelve a previous library - it's always bound to have something good that you continue to use.

I agree, Nick. Weighing my own production deadlines against an unknown wait for a VSL edition, SC was money well spent. Having gotten it in July, it has more paid for itself with one project.

A VSL Choir is definitely on my list of VIs to get, but I don't see SC as being a waste by any means.

Usually, VSL announces new products around Winter NAMM time. It *could be* another 5-6 months before we see a VSL Choir.... but then again, you never know!

  • Thanks guys - couldn't agree more.
