Is anyone using 5.0.7.0 successfully? I've just wasted half a day tempted by reports of faster loading times... but eventually had to roll back to 5.0.2.0!

syncrosoft 5.0.7.0

... the installation routine on Windows XP x64 has been changed to take care of files that have been installed by an older installer to a wrong place.
As long as your current installation is working properly, there is no need to update it.
the faster startup time is already covered with 5.0.6.2

http://download.syncrosoft.com/syncrosoft/5062/SyncrosoftLicenseControlSetup.exe
it seems the paragraph *dicontinued installer* just shows the wrong text and link - usually you can find there the last version

many thanks. I will try again tomorrow. If only syncrosoft was an exceptional product like VIs... [:P]

LCC 5.0.6.2 installed fine on two PCs, the increased loading speed should help productivity a lot!
Strangely, 6.0.7.0 failed on both PCs.

pls don't update LCC when you have a working environment.
LCC updates are mainly for new LCC database as new customers or licencees are coming in.
Exception is (was) the speed issue, which was explicitly asked for by VSL.
This issue was settled with version < 5.0.7.0. (5.0.6.2)
We will notify you if it is necessary to update LCC from our side.
There are exceptions to this whenever you have installed a new product other than VSL and it requires you to do so.

Thanks, golem.
I've been having major issues as well, and was advised to upgrade to 5.0.7.0. Maya was kind enough to send some important info to me to perform a manual uninstall of 5.0.7.0 to go back to 5.0.6.x, which I think I backed up on another hard drive, knowing that Syncrosoft now removes ealier versions.
I hope that when Syncrosoft updates LCC that we can continue to have clear information from VSL regarding what the updates mean to different VI Cube users.
I can't tell you how much I appreciate this information, CT.
Thanks again.
