Upon receiving the string part of the cube, I was curious as how the learning curve would be. The video tutorials are wonderful. I have learned much from watching these.
I remember being told that I would "love" the new instrument. I am sure that I would say 'love', but I am enjoying the ease of use.
I started off with Orchestral Strings I becuase I wanted to get the Appassionata violins. I like using these violins, but there needs to be more material. My hope that we will get more articulations to work with. Personally, I would like pizzacato, long and short detache.
I had hoped that the bowing technique where the players play in different directions (I.E. up and down simultanously during sustains). I guess this is not avalible now. This would be great for all the string sections. Is delayed vibrato avalibe now? I am not sure. If not, I hope it will be recorded.
The Appassionata violins are good to have. I do not understand why Orchestral Strings I was a requirement for these extra violins. As I understand, They were a gift to Pro Edition users. Obtaining Orch. Str. I does not feel like a gift, but another requirement. I would think that *any* V.I. instrument would suffice. I enjoy orch. str. I, they are much improved upon, but the wording of the App. Vlns. makes no sense to me as to their true purpose.
I got the chamber strings next. They are so delightful. This is what I wanted to get first, but due to a certain restriction, I had to wait. The sound is amazing, and any true string lover should have these.
Orchestral Strings II will be obtained at some point, but I must consider other V.Is. first in order to expand my orchestral palette.
So, the sounds are great to work with, and are getting easier as time passes.
Are there really four versions of each short note now?
