I am planning to buy the Stanard library for:
Orchestral Strings 1
Orchestral Strings 2
Woodwinds 1
Brass 1
1. I just want to ask a few questions. Am correct in understanding that it is the standard library that has the new stuff?
2. It does not work as a stand alone?
3. I need to install the entire library (Samples that I wont even use - those included in extended library) ?
4. For example in Orchestral strins 1 - in the standard v/s extended chart list it says - Perf Repetition Legato slow, staccato, spiccato in the standard section. So, does it mean that I can play the staccato, spiccato and legato (slow) at custom tempos? Or am I bound by the tempo it was recorded at - like in Opus bundle? What are the tempo ranges? I am interested to know the limitation in this regard.
My main reason is to have custom tempos - lines that I can play in or program based on my own tempos - getting free with repetetion. legatos and all that. I understand that many more expressions are included on the extended and remain exclusive to that. But, do the starter editions have these basic features - Repetetion, legato and all that in universal mode? Or is this feature included on extended versions only.
If anyone from the VSL team can answer this - I would much appreciate it.
Thanks.
Best,
Tanuj.
