  • Trouble Installing a VI Library on a Macpro. Help!

Hello, forum and Vienna Library Community! I'm a bit stuck! I'm running Logic7.2 on an intel based macpro OSX 10.4.7 and just bought a couple of Vienna Phil. Instrument Libraries (the solo strings and the chamber strings) I registered my key. Syncrosoft version 5.0.4.0 saw it. I did not activate it yet, though I got the activation code when I registered. Using the Vienna Library Set Up application I downloaded (Vienna Instruments Software Installer OS X Intel 1.06 (public beta)) I tried to install the Solo Strings Instrument (for use within Logic) and created a folder on an external drive for the Vienna files to go into. The installer seemed to load the first disk to where I told it to go. Then it asked for the second without ejecting the first. I manually ejected the first, put in the second one in then tried to hit OK, but the dialogue screen just flashed and never carried on with the installation. The Dialogue screen also asked that I put the disk into a folder marked "/applications", which didn't really make much sense to me as it seemed to be a continuation of the library that I was loading onto the external drive , and anyway, I didn't think it wanted me to drag the whole CD over to the "applications" folder on my main drive. So basically, I'm pretty confused about how to get this library up and running on my mac. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Many thanks.

  • Hi mjbsound,

    and welcome to this forum!

I don´t have a Macbook Pro here with me to check what might be going wrong, but did you have a look at the Video Tutorials on Registration and Installation? Maybe you have overlooked something....
