  • Where the frick is the "VIENNAKEY"????

I'm trying to use the Chamber VI strings for the first time. Installing it. I need to use it "RIGHT NOW"....

Yet... I see all this mention of a "VIENNAKEY" ...... where the hell is it? Please don't tell me I was supposed to order one on the side. I've never heard of a "VIENNAKEY", and if it's a separate purchase it sure wasn't clear. I'm pretty friggn pissed. I need to work "right now" not next week.

While we're on the subject.... I e-mailed VSL (you guys) for my access code for something else over 3 weeks ago. No response. That's some crap customer service if you ask me.

If there was supposed to be a key in the VI Chamber Strings I sure hope you guys will over night it to me... at 'your' cost.

i should be able to use these products the same day I have the box in my hand. Jeeze, we have deadlines and such. Man this stuff pisses me off.

(You gotta understand how it puts a composer in a serious bind when they're holding a worthless box of DVDs they can even friggn use)

    Sincerely,

    Jay

  • Welcome Jay,

did you order, the Chamber strings on our site?
It's not possible for me to search any order with the limited informations in your posting, nor I can't search effectively for your email request regarding access codes.

For effective support it would be helpful, if you could contact support@vsl.co.at (once again?) I'm personally monitoring all support requests.

    best
    Herb

  • Herb,

    I bought this through Sweetwater.com

It was sealed when I received it... no key. Was there supposed to be a USB key of some sort?

I'll worry about the other code later. My focus is on trying to use the chamber strings 'today'. So my question is "is there a way to install this w/o a Vienna-Key?"

    Thanks

  • Jay,

The Vienna Key isn't included in the Chamber Strings box. You have to buy it separately. Sweetwater should have told you. It's clearly stated on the VSL website. So, you will need to call Sweetwater and gert one.

  • WOW................

Well, Sharmy just alerted me to that fact as well. Thanks for the info, Matt.

Seriously. Herb, you need to alert your distributers to get a handle on this. When you're a composer you don't have time to know about every new dongle. There should have been an "ALERT!!!" when I ordered this. Now I'm behind the eight ball with time ticking.

Please do better to make the professional composers life easier. We don't have time for this stuff. We hardly have enough time to eat and pee. I am pretty dissatisfied with this revelation [that the key is "my" responsibility ---- I just want to "point and pay" and get the crap I need to compose, instal it, and be off composing the same day I get it. Please don't assume that we all follow the to the letter what VSL is up to. Even when we use your products. Someone out there isn't doing their job, otherwise I'd be writing right now not complaining].

    Sincerely

    Jay

  • Jay--

If you have Cubase you can use their Syncrosoft key instead.

    Best,
    Jay

  • Thanks Jay...

I'm good now... Sharmy tipped me off that WLA has the keys, luckily they had one in stock and I was able to get there before they closed or I wold have been screwed.

    Cheers
