  • Library Installation Issue with Licences

    Hi there,

I'm trying to install the VI Library for my Orchestral Strings. I followed the video tutorial, installed the Syncrosoft Licence Control Center with the up-to-date installer; installed the VI software with the most recent version for Intel (1.0.6).

I am now trying to install the Library but after locating the .info file on the DVD and clicking "Install", I get the following error message:

    ------
The following licences are needed to install this package:
    - Player (Vienna Instruments)
    - Violinen (14) Basic
    - Violen (10) Basic
    ------

It seems the installation software doesn't "see" my Vienna Key; however, the LCC does see it.

I tried it on every USB port on the back of the Mac mini, to no avail.

I really don't know what to do at this point...

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Jerome

  • I updated my LCC to 5.0.3.3 last Wednesday, and VI hasn't been able to read my key since. The VSL staff finally gaved up looking at this today and sent all of their accumulated documentation to Syncrosoft for investigation. Hurry up and wait. Nothing is happening very fast with this one. I've tried everything I can think of without success. If you hit on a solution, please post the details. There's probably more than the two of us having this problem.

  • Hi Jerome,

I received this from Paul this morning. You might try contacting Syncrosoft yourself. This sounds to me like VSL is not working on the problem any more.

    Hi Ray,

unfortunately software is never simple.... Of course I will inform you as
soon as I hear from Syncrosoft, sometimes they let us wait until they
found out what´s wrong with the LCC 5.0.3.3

I will be on my way to the US tomorrow to present the VI in different
cities, but I will be online again in about 30 hours. Maybe it´s a good
idea to contact support@syncrosoft.com to find out hor to make a safe
rollback to LCC 5.0.2.4, so that your system will work like it worked
    before.

    Best regards,

    Paul Steinbauer

  • Jerome & Peregrine you got PM

  • Unfortunately, this is still not working.

Where can I find a previous (working) version of the LCC ?

If I uninstall 5.0.3.3, I could then install the working version.

    This is pretty annoying...

  • I tried this but it didn't work for me. Whatever problems are introduced by the 5.0.3.0 PC install, don't get backed out when you ininstall. But you're on a Mac so you might give it a try. You'll have to remove the program with the unistall procedure, then download and install 5.0.2.4 from the Syncrosoft web site. Good luck.
