Slight OT: costing music for a website...

I've been asked to write some music for a website. I have absolutely no idea what to charge: my area is TV, film and some commercial. Has anyone had any experience in this area, and how I would go about costing it? What is the position regarding royalties (PRS,etc)?

Any advice would be appreciated.

You could contact the Musicians Union, the music writers section should have fee suggestions for that sort of thing.
