Hey folks,
So, I'm going through the "tutorials" that are on the "demos" page...trying to learn how to use the library better...
I should start off by saying that I currently only have the standard library...I haven't used all starts for the extended library "demo", but what I've been doing on my own has been building matrixes on my own...but I've been having some problems...particularly with slurred runs...I often run into problems with making the transitions between the notes seemless...for example...in a violin run...
well, I loaded one of the 'orchestra violins' presets from the demos page today, and found that there's a "vl-14_perf-trill_leg" patch on there (level 2) and that seems to enable me to play fast runs. Here's my issue...shouldn't fast runs be achievable under the perf. interval fast folder?...and, if this IS the patch I should be using for fast notes, why the heck is it called perf-trill-leg? is it because this patch was intended for use with either trills or really fast runs?
perhaps I'm misunderstanding the intentional use of the performance interval patches as well.
PS...anyone out there just using the standard library....and what patches have you developed besides the presets sent to you by vsl?
Josh
