  • thanx,

the pricing seems totally ridiculous though...no?

    we are talking hardware-midi pricing.

well, compare to purchasing 8 8-port midi interfaces .... to connect 64 midiports you would actually need 16 8-port devices ...

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • I'm sure that there are some free, no frills programs that will do the job. I'll get back to you on that.

  • Don't know if this site will help, but they seem to have a collection of affordable stuff for all sorts of Audio/Midi uses.

  • This thread amazes me... We're talking about G5 slaves and MacMinis and on top of that VSL... Still MoL, which is known to work very well and is an essential part of the equation is considered pricey at under $300?? [8-)]

  • LOL - it's because it's a $300 driver. I still bought it though, it's a great product especially v3.

  • Yes,

I just bought the 4 computer version......

It just worx wonderfully well......even between PC and Mac....

Been messing with demo all week-end to make sure it's not some bug-ridden shareware disaster...

And I've found it to be perfect [;)]

  • SvK, what driver is it you are having success with? (since several are mentioned in this thread) Thanks [;)]

  • Leon,

Sorry do not understand your question....

    You have 2 options:

    The Mac version
    The PC version

    it's that simple...

    Best 150$ I've spent

  • Leon .....this one:

    http://www.musiclab.com/downloads/trial/

1/2 way down the page ...try it for 14 days for free (2 computers max on trial)

I did my trial between a G5 Mac and the MiniMac running XP using a netgear GigaBIt switch....and I also tried it with a cross-over cable.....

It works flawlessly and is super-easy to use.

(now if VI would fix the friggin' clicks and pops on osx[;)]
