Hi Paul. I'll contact you. I had been contacted by Christian on other matters, so I thought I was accessible on the VSL records.
But I also thought the forum might glean some other users with similar issues. Or they may benefit from my experience.
Yes, this is on a Mac G5 1.8 dual. While registering, I experienced inordinately long "Checking Internet Connection" prompts. Then "Checking eLicensers" seemed abnormally long. Finally, as noted, it hung in the progress bar mid-way. I've registered three other L2 licenses without a problem earlier this year.
My LLC Device Manager now reads:
(Upgrade) (Master) Collection / Vienna Instrument / Brass I / Brass I L2
(Upgrade) (Master) Collection / Vienna Instrument / Solo Strings / Solo Strings L2
Again, next to both of these, there's a small icon of a key, then a little green arrow pointing to another key. On my properly functioning Level 2 icons in LLC, there's what seems to be three keys, a blue and a red one poking out from under the first yellow key. So something looks different.
To further complicate the matter, I experienced a demo * refresh * somehow when I tried to launch the extended Brass I library on LLC. I was down to two. Then it jumped back to 30. Since then, with use, it's declined again to 22.
I mention this because L2 Brass I instruments do show up in Logic, but they're there because of the demo, no doubt -- not because of the registration of the extended library.
The L2 Solo Strings do not appear at all. (I have an unused demo code for Solo Strings. But now I'm reluctant to complicate this anymore.)
