  • Question relating to legato and sustain sounds in the new VI

Just wondering about the VI string library. When you are playing legato, what happens with long notes?
Legato does not last forever I know, but is there some mechanisim in the programming that switches the sounds over to the sustain sounds so you can have the legato sounds as long as you like?

Thanks for any information on this.

    best regards,

    Steve Martin. [:D]

  • With tutti strings it would be no problem to crossfade into a long note (assign to whatever controller you want!). It's the solo instruments that can give away the crossfade... you should be fine with the Orchestral Strings VIs.

  • Thanks for that info JBM!
