    Just thought you guys might take a look at a problem I'm having with the latest VI software rev on the MAC....first VST version.

    Though PC users report no problem, on the Mac with the current version of Nuendo the VI interface is not updating when, say, a keyswtich is entered via Midi. You have to click back to Nuendo, then back to the interface, and then it updates correctly.

    Thanks Maya. Note also that the VI Server Interface doesn't update either. That is, it will reflect the name of a saved preset momentarily, but later when you go back to the "VST Instruments" menu, the patch name has vanished and it says "Default" again. I don't know whether this is Nuendo's fault, or the VI.....

    Hi Tom,

    I cannot confirm your "Update" issue, the GUI shows and updates the keyswitching here without any irregularities.

    Concerning the "save" function for presets, there are 3 different ways to save a preset, 1) "save instrument" which does not work at the moment, it seems that it does not save presets properly. When trying to load, an error message appears saying "Unable to load specified preset, invalid or non existing file". I forwarded this information to our development team, it should be solved soon. 2) "save bank" doesn´t work either, the VI doesn´t recognise the fileformat but 3) the "store preset" function in the server window works fine.

    Here´s my test setup:

    G5 2.5 Dual/OS 10.4.6, Nuendo Version 2.2.0 (no Nuendo 3 yet), Vienna Instruments Software OS X PPC 1.06b

    The matter with the displaying of ports is obviously a Nuendo problem. It shows the ports from number 1-8 and then it starts again with No. 1

    Maya, yes, for some bizarre reason the VI is now updating properly on my system too. Very strange!

    Nuendo VST output window thing...good to know, I will post in the Nuendo forum.

    But the PRESET function does not work at all on my setup. It will save the preset and properly display it momentarily, but next time you go back to the VST Instruments window, it will just say DEFAULT. This is consistent on every session of mine, every day. Remember I am using the latest N3 rev, MAC OSX 10.4.6. Maybe they could look into this.
