In Germany and Austria, a wild brown bear keeps politicians, hunters, news agencies and people busy this summer. For some reasons, the bear, who started in Italy some weeks ago, leaving a bloody trail of dead sheeps and cows in the alpine regions, is called "JJ1".
Also, I was surprised, when I received the VSL Newsletter recenty, to see a demo of "The Bear" by Guy Bacos. Since I never noticed Guy's last name, I was really surprised by his work. I love cello, and often, cello solo demos of samples where cheesy, not standing up to the power of the original instrument.
I thought that I can pass by buying VI for some time, until I am rich&famous enough to buy the full library but now I am back again looking for that lost spare money in my couch..
This demo made me listening, the arrangement and the mix is striking.
I listened two or three times, and I discovered these extreme nuances, that distincts a quick demo from a real "labor of love" that shows passion for art and detail.
Since it is always easy to critizise, I would just post this positive impression
