can't find custom matrix folder?

hey, been using all the strings and wind without a hitch for the last couple of months. (haven't installed the other 5 yet) all the samples and matrixes are in folders on a dedicated firewire drive.

all of a sudden it's saying i don't have a custom folder assigned. (even though i've been using it for the last 2 months!). so i go to directory manager, remove the folder, and reload it, switch off computer, etc. the custom folder still doesn't show up in either the preset window or the matrix window, and it still tells me i don't have a custom folder.

any bright ideas?? [[:|]]

custom folder is created by the user via finder.

Use DM to locate this folder.

However it is strange that you "lost" the folder.
Do you remember the name?

On OSX use Spotlight to spot it - it might be slipped elsewhere
and the path is no more valid.

christian, thanks for that, but it hasn't changed position! its exactly where it's always been and called the same thing. i've used the DM to remove it and re"find" it, but when loading up VSI it doesn't see it. i don't need to use spotlight to find it, because it's exactly where it's always been.

very very strange.

can you try these tricks.

feed DM with a bogus newly created folder. close and start VI and close again.

then feed DM with "your" custom matrix folder again. close and .... as above.
