  • Question about demos

I have recently got my feet in the water with Orchestral strings 1.

I have a Cubase dongle not a VI dongle. I understand that I can still get a trial of the extended strings,by asking VSL.

    1] Is this a 180 day trial or a 30 day trial?

2] Does this start the moment I receive confirmation from VSL, or when I actualy use the instruments?

3] If you use the instruments in a track, does this mean after the trial period, the instruments won't sound? (unless of course you bounce).

    Thanks

  • zero, there are 180 starts demo codses on every ViennaKey (not time limited) - the demo activation codes are 30 days /30 starts timelicenses.

the demo period starts with downloading the license to your key

a track with an instrument/patch/matrix related to an expired license will not open

btw: a license for the extended library will cost you the full price, because you don't have any products registered for receiving a discount (eg. pro edition strings)

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • I dont understand this - whats the difference between 30 days, and 180 starts?
Does this mean that I have only 180 starts in the 30 days?

Has my demo period already started without me doing anything?

    Thanks

I think you've misunderstood cm. On each Vienna Key you purchase there are 180 starts with no expiration date. However I understand that you can also obtain from VSL a demo key which is 30 starts with a 30 day expiration date. It's two seperate things.

The 30 day/30 start demo licence starts when you download it, using the syncrosoft control panel.
