    So I'm playing the Legato Flute. At the end of a legato phrase, the note holds out only a few seconds.

    But other times I hit a note on the keyboard and the note holds out forever. How can I get the last note of a legato phrase to hold out longer? I know this all must have something to do with that whole "starting note" thing which I never understood, would appreciate any help...

    The start note is looped - and some of the legato notes (those which occur after the transition) are not.

    The simple solution is to cellcrossfade into a sustain patch.
