  • Cant downloadf tutorials Help Please!

I am having trouble downloading the tutorials. I can dowload the MP3's but not the tutorials. I have tried on two machines.

    Machine 1:
The tutorials download in a flash - too quick - and when I open I get"invalid menu handle" message. I have been on the net and I cant find a solution to this.
    Machine two:
I have free downloader on this machine and this restarts downloads again if disconnected (unlike XP downloader). This software hangs at 18% and restarts in a loop.

I think this is hard to solve, but anyone know?

Is there another way to get the tutorials.? I have just ordered a VI will it be on the disk?

    Thanks

  • are you talking about the tutorials here http://www.vsl.co.at/en-us/68/375/243.vsl ?

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • No not these, it seems that video and mp3s are working fine, as I say I have not been able to download the other tutorials, are they PDFs?

I am talknig of the tutorials that are accessed here http://www.vsl.co.at/en-us/211/344/219.vsl
In case this link does not work I mean go to orchestral strings one page and click on the link which says demos. you get a pop up. Any of the turoails are now downloading but the MP3s are.
Any help appreciated - I have spent a couple of hours trying to find a soultion on the net the invalid menu handle error seems to be rife, but no soulations offered. Is it a server thing?

Not sure if this is relevent:

  • I have deleted this entry

  • No luck

  • hmmm ... no luck the other way around ... downloaded VI-14_universal-mode_1.zip (very fast though, only 6 KB), unzipped the file and everything inside the archive is ok ....
XP should be able to unzip files (even open archives) without any additional tools ... inside there is an aupreset, an fxp and a .mid file.
... i'd set the explorer to *show file extensions* - this is a very bad behaviour to incapacitate us users from viewing the extensions IMO

  • Thanks for trying. I have searched twenty pages of sites on both Yahoo and google. It seems that no one knows. Did you see my edit to the above post. It might be a server side thing.

I have to give up now as I have no idea whatt this is. Can you suggest an alternative way of getting the tutorials please?
I just ordered Orchestral strings 1 today and would like to learn a bit b4 it arrives

  • I have now sorted this issue. I was running WinRar on my machine, as soon as I dissassociated Zip files with WinRar they became associated with XP integrated WinZip. This did the trick.

    Thanks
