  • AV tuning patches

    Hi there,

While I applaud VSL's efforts here, how are people using these (mixing with another patch - via crossfade? Becuase, by themselves they are simple too far out of tune to be of any use playing with instruments that are in tune.

What is the application between regular 'tune' and 'LI' patches?

    Thanks in advance

(VSL - these new strings are simply outstanding - thanks again.)

  • In the tune-Li patche the detuned time period is much shorter, that means they get into tune faster

in a full arrangement the detuned effect gets less obvious, you are minimizing even if you add a simple stacked soloviolin track

generally I would recommend the detune samples only on selected notes in a slower movement maybe difficult intervall steps (for example major sept) in a high register

also check out faster performances stacking perf-leg_tunes with fast-legato performances or performance trills

    there are endless options

  • I used the detuned patch in my AV test on a single note, without it being too obvious.

  • Good ideas about 'here and there'. I like this option for some 'post' wirting programming - again - here and there to add to the realisim.
