I have been reading about Word Clocks and their importance.
What is the real purpose of a Word Clock? I understand its for time correction - keeping everything in sync and have continuous time data when recording something.
How important is it in a studio set up? What improvements does it make to the sound?
I use a Digi 002 Rack which has an internal clock - Will I need an external one? Is it really a requirement for small set ups? And does it make a difference in sample based music - I wont be doing much of live work.
And finally - I am planning to buy Nuendo 3.
But i am gonna use Digi 002 Rack as my front end. Is this fine? I know it works - but how well? Does anyone have experience or has neone heard nething about this?
