  • L2 demos expired, now I can't access songs!

    Hi,

    I tried the extended library out to see if I really needed it for Pop/R&B production. It's great but not worth the extra coin for me - I'd rather get more instruments:
    )

    So, not realizing the demo period was expiring, I tried to open a song that used some of the L2 articulations and it crashes. I recieved one error stating the license was expired, but now nothing happens.

    I simply want to take out the L2 articulations from the tracks and use the standard library. How can i do this?

    Just to add to the fun, I was able to open a new instance of the VI but there are no patches.[[:|]] I rescanned the library with the mangaer, but no luck.

    Help! I'm in the middle of doing a CD and I can't work at all - and i have a whoile day scheduled int he studio!!

  • Someone should help out here [:)]

  • You mean like YOU?? [:P]

  • Well I dont know if you have seen my track record around here - but I always try help when I can [[:)]] But as I said on NSS this is beyond me, and pretty much anybody save the VSL team... so you will have to wait for then to respond [[:)]]

  • Agreed,

    Gladly, I have had help from VSL, so I'm on my way back to abnormal:p

  • by the way, will it be possible using the new products L2 demo when available even if it's expired ?

    Thanks

  • The demos are specific to each library. My Chamber Strings demo expired after the Solo Strings demo did. So, I would assume that each library will have it's own demo period.

    It's a mixture of time sensitive and number of "openings".

  • the demo codes are so-called *date-licenses* - they allow 30 starts during a period of 30 days. in case you reach this 30 starts before the 30 days are over, simply *renew* your date-license using the license control center.

    this method is used to prevent *adjusting* the date&time of your computer to keep the demo license working after it should have been expired.

    the initial 180 starts license (currently on every new vienna key) is not bound to a date, but: don't start even thinking about *workarounds* - we are tracking license downloads. on the other hand you will find out, we try to be most helpful in case you run into license troubles ....
