    Hey all,

    I haven't gotten the update yet, so maybe this is fixed already, but I've noticed that (in my activity monitor on OSX) the vsl daemon, once I load VI, either as a plug-in or standalone, the vsldaemon starts, then becomes non-responsive...and it doesn't go away after i close either the stanalone, or my sequencer (Logic). Any thoughts?

    Don´t worry about it, this is the way it should behave. It is a small UNIX application that runs in the background without giving any feedback to the system.

    Thanks for this info Maya - myself and others have noticed this too.
    How about fixing it so that it shuts down when no longer needed? At this time, the only way to "kill" it is to Force Quit or log out.

    thanks maya. also any word on being able to expand RAM available to VI past the 2gigs offered by the 1 instance of the VSL server??
