Old Syncrosoft Problem

After fairly consistent operation for about a month with syncrosoft 5.0.0.2 (I think, the latest) I now have spent several hours over the past two days trying to get the license to work. Somewhere on yhe forum I remember seeing that syncrosoft posted instructions on downgrading to a 4.9.something version of the license. If this is truly more stable, could someone instruct me as to where I find this version and downgrading instructions? BTW, I am using the system with Logic 7.2.2 on the MAC (obviously)

Ahh - except they're not anymore...

They seem to have removed the link to the old versions.

Anyone know what happened?

Let me ask a simple question here. I do not know if I truly understand how Syncrosoft actually works, but do you need to be online for the licensing to be recognized? I ask because after 2 hours this morning of struggling, when I went online, after posting my initial question, all worked. If I need to be online for the current system to work I need ideas for a work around. I liove in New Orleans, still in a community struggling after Katrina, and I have sporadic interent access. We still do not have my phone landline. Anyway, any thoughtd or clarifications would be helpful. Was everything working after I went onkline a coincidence?

you only need to have an active internet connection if you download or move licenses - to *use* the licenses even works on a compuer, which has *never seen* the internet, just the license control center has to be installed.
we recomment to restart a computer before adding or moving licenses, especially if you had a Vienna Instrument open before.

Thanks for the info, I guess the problem is related to the quirkiness of Syncrosoft.
