    Hi Dup,

I only can guess referring to your statement:

You say often, that means not always, so I guess you are using windows XP and maybe your PC is previosly used for Gigastudio?

In this case the memory settings might be tweaked, so the system does not allow loading samples even if there is enough available RAM. In this case you get the error "missing samples".

If my pure guess is right you will find more details regarding memory settings in this forum topic:

If I am completely wrong, we would need more system informations.

  • Hello Herb ,
Thanks for your answer, tomorrow I will ask somebody to translate all the informations you gave me, because I don't understand all with my poor english.
But what I can say is that when it's happened and closed cubase , I done
    this test:
I open only Vi in stand alone and try to to open a small files like staccato solo violin, and the problem is still here.
I restart my computer and tried the same thing (Vi standalone and open a small files) Problem still here... so what I do next, I run your manager program one more time, delete all and rebuild it and after It's ok. Strange!
What do you think? where is the database info files of Vi? so perhaps I can delete it when problem occur, rebuild quickly and so spend time to continue to work?

    Best regards
