  • License Transfer Problem

I recently added the Woodwind I collection to my G5 but can't use it (no more ram after Strings I+II) so I want to run them on my PC in a VST host. When I select the WW'd collection in the License manager to transfer I get "no protection device found." So I'm stuck there.

I registered the 2nd Vienna Key (for the PC) here but it showed "license unknown" even though it shows up at the syncosoft site.

SORRY - didn't realize BOTH Keys had to be on the same computer to transfer. I thought it was direct from the Syncrosoft site to the additional key. Hope this helps somebody.

  • dave, a *license unknown* message would also be hint you are using a license control center version lower than 4.9.8.x

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Will look into that,

    thanks cm

  • dave, i just checked your license status .... it looks as if you had initially downloaded the woodwinds license to your first ViennaKey and then transferred it. you can add a license using an unused code to any ViennaKey, but if you want to move a license always both keys have to be attached (source - destination) otherwise licenses could get lost.

btw: i think you didn't run out of the 30 days demo license for extended libraries but only of the initial 180 start demo ... i've sent you an email
