  • Thirty Day Code Expired Ahead of Time

I received thirty day extensions on March 8th. I'm not sure when I loaded them, but assuming it was the same day, they should be good until Saturday April 8. Last night Syncrosoft -- in that window pane I can never see enough of -- told me I'm out of Level 2 starts.

VSL is at Musikmesse and I may be locked out of the Level 2 Strings I and II for a couple of nights (already ordered them from Ilio, thinking they could shoot me an email immediately).

So a heads up to the loyal VSL yokefellows -- don't push that thirty day extension too close to the limit. You may have a few less days than you think.

  • plowman - it is possible you just ran out of the inherited 30 starts limitation, so please connect to the syncrosoft license server to renew your date license

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Okay, that worked.

So we're on an extended license for thirty days (after the 180 free starts). But if we start it more than thirty times within those extra thirty days, we have to go LCC / Wizards / Activate Date Licenses. Did I state that correctly?

  • this is correct - the demo codes activate so called *date licenses* for 30 days/30 starts. dosn't LCC respond with something saying *date licenses need re-activation* or a similar wording?

No. The prompts were identical to the first time I ran out of demos (with the 180 starts). When I had worked through the 30 additional starts, it simply said the demo had expired. There was no mention of a date reactivation in the prompts that came up when I was launching Logic. That's why I was a little confused. Cheers.
