    Hi Folks -

    Now that I have Vienna working, I need a little help with logic. I would go elsewhere, but Emagic stopped supporting the PC version (I have Platinum 5.5.1). I really want to hear what this baby can do with more than one instrument at a time! VST Vienna Instruments works fine, but I had to buy a new interface (Echo Indigo was crap: snap crackle pop). Now, when I start the ASIO, I get major sync problems. The timer jumps all over the place, and eventually I get a warning message: "Timer or Midi-output inactive! Please check other applications or run Setup again".

    I have a new M-AUDIO Firewire Audiophile, latest drivers.

    I know this post is not quite for the board, but if anyone could recommend an active and friendly Logic board, I would be grateful, and if you know what I need to do, I'd love to hear it. I have read all the manual can tell me.

    Just wanted to say thanks for the reply. I've had Vienna for 2 weeks now and still don't have it running - this time its not Vienna's fault. M-Audio and I isolated the problem: Its an IRQ issue (I'm using a laptop, gotta be portable). The firewire is sharing its IRQ (resource) with too many devices. Logic can't sync (ASIO) with the interface. Not clear that there is help for this (working with someone in India on changing the IRQ's, and its not clear that they even know what IRQ or IEEE 1394 means). I realise that when you play with high-end tools (I am a weekender, as this is my hobby) you have to deal with highly technical problems. Thanks for your help...
