    Hey Folks -

    After many rounds, Christian and I figured out that the culprit was Earthlink's Protection Control Center. Even when not on, its installation blocked the transmission of license information from the ViennaKey to VI. Syncrosoft still saw the key, but the licenses could not be seen by VI. I just thought I would put this out there in case it helps someone else.

    thanks eric for posting about this issue ... i'd like to add this problem could also occur with any other internet security application or firewall - with some of them it might help to allow traffic on port 6179 for TCP

    elksman-- thanks for this information. Earthlink's firewall has been a big problem at times for me with other important subscriptions, newletters, etc. This is a very important discovery.
