    i am using Logic 6.4.3 on my slave machine with OS 10.4.4
    dual 2.5 G5 with 8 gigs ram and 1.5 terabyte of storage.
    i am about to spring on the VI strings and wanted to know
    if this version of Logic is ok. i have no intentions on upgrading
    logic as I hate it and don't want to pop for the $300 L7 upgrade.

    Is anybody using Logic 6.4.3 with VI??????

    I've been watching your "bumps" .... Logic 6.4.3 was released in October of 2004, so it *may be* a tall order to expect those using VI, just weeks old, to still be using 6.4.3.

    On a side note, some users have been reporting metronome issues with 6.4.3 and OS 10.4.5, but on the surface it would seem that al should work well as long as Logic and VI talk nice to the OS.

    One word of caution, however-- if you've seen the various threads on installation issues you may want to proceed with caution...

    that was my next concern. i have the option of running the VI in DP on the second mac but then i can't use the old VLS pro stuff at the same time easily. i'm just hoping that an AU is an AU is an AU with VI.

    the problems with the dongle and install are definitely a concern. i may just keep watching the posts for a bit.

    I am currently at the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, so I cannot check, but I do not see a reason why Logic 6.4.3 shouldn´t be able to host the Vienna Instruments as Audio Units.

    I´ll look into this as soon as I am back in Vienna!

    i son't see any reason why iot wouldn't work either.

    Ive got a G5, dual 1,8 Ghz with OS 10.4.5. and 3GB
    Plays well as standalone, but I get an "out of memory"-message when trying to boot an AU in Logic 6.4.3. I guess thats because of the Logic-version.
