  • Accessing Solo strings

    Greetings!

First time user of the Vienna String series and very excited about the program. Unfortunately I am having some difficulty accessing the solo strings in Nuendo (also standalone). The VST does appear but I cannot access any of the sounds that are availabe on my hard drive. In other words when I attempt to retrieve presets or matrix they are unavailable when I right click or left click. I appreciate any help as I am in the midst of a film project with a ridiculous deadline. Any help would be brilliant!

  • Hi Yipyapyipyap,

if everything is setup right - especially the Directory Manager points to the right voulmes on your hardrive, so you can see the patches and matrix files structure in the Vienna Instrument. Than you can load via drag and drop the patches and Matrix files (from the browser on the right site, to the patch/matrix setup areas on the left site).
The video tutorial "Patches & Matrices - An Overview" gives also a good overview how this works.

  • Thanks Herb! After reading your response and with the help of one your colleagues in tech support in the US the program worked out. It seems that in the directory manager I had forgotten to assign the subdirectories (ie solo
string groups). The program is really incredible and it worked out perfectly for the theme of this particular film I'm working on. I look forward to purchasing the rest of the Vienna Cube series.
