    I had originally installed just the SOLO Strings on my Mac. DP saw them fine.

    I now have installed more libraries on an external Firewire Drive. The Directory Manager Application sees this drive and all the VI patches on it.

    But when I open a VI in Digital Performer, it only offers me the original Solo Strings for some reason. Is there something else I need to do to update VI so it sees ALL the installed patches?

    Tom-- I had to remove at least the folders that don't appear in DP from Directory Manager and reload them in Directory Manager again. Seems like a silly steip, but it worked for me...

    Got it. I just restarted, went to Directory Manager again, and this time it worked. Odd.

    Right now I'm having a new problem, are you finding the V14 Porta strings are acting strangely? They sound like normal legato violins, but every once in awhile I hear the porta kick in. I'm used to playing these via Giga, so I know they should be just gliding between notes, but that isn't happening.

    Hate all this strangeness, sure everything will settle down[;)]

    There's a problem with the porta strings in that they are named incorrectly and not actually loading. You have to rename them with the correct number in the name. Sorry I haven't done it yet and don't remember exactly what the name is but it's been posted around here a few times times.
