    I have VI on a PC. It's been working fine.

    Last night, I decided to install Chamber strings on my Mac. I removed the Key from the PC and put it on the Mac. No problem.

    Today, I put it back on the PC, and now the PC is saying "Found New Hardware" and Forte says "Message from Vienna Instruments...No Hardware Key Found."

    Any ideas?

    If there is more than one USB port on your computer, you have to put the key into the same slot, if not you have to install the key again ("found new hardware...") Each installation is dedicated to each indivísdual port.

    However, if you have used the same slot and you get the "hardware not found" message, simply let the computer install the dongle once again.

    Thanks Herb, that was the problem. I had more than one USB slot, and had not returned the key to the slot it had been installed in. I didn't know about that, thanks for clearing this up!
