    Any tricks to get Digital Performer to see VI?

    I installed solo strings on my Mac tonight, but DP does not see them...does not offer them as an option under "New Instrument Track" though all my other instruments how up fine.

    Any ideas?

    It's working fine with DP 4.61 here.

    1) Does it work in Standalone?
    2) Have you run the Directory Manager and added your folders? Tip: Put it in your dock.

    Yes standalone mode launches fine.

    But 4.61 just doesn't see it. I think I may have accidentally deleted that little mini program DP uses....AU Validator or something...awhile back and I have sneaky feeling that's why it isn't looking at new AU units.

    This had happened at one time with some other AU where some items were installed on the root directory and others were installed on the User directory. I've not had that problem since DP 4.0/4.1, but DP 4.61 now seems to show all of my VI's in the 'add instrument track" pulldown menu.

    When starting DP, did it not initiate a fresh scan of new AU's?

    One other thing I had to do was to run Directory Manager, remove all the files and load them again.
