What an effort! We couldn't get the BIOS on my dual Opteron to take the 3 GB attempt and had an enormously difficult time getting the system back in shape. Finally, we restored things, but I was about a toe away from having to reinstall Windows XP.
From my experience, be careful! And make sure that you, or someone you're working with, really understands this stuff.
Here's to a fully functional Vista set up!
