  • Six Starts Remaining

While trouble-shooting load crashes, I noted in my Syncrosoft license panel that I had ten starts remaining. After managing to load my Logic song (which has about 9 VI's), it said I have six starts remaining.

I have registered Strings I and II and Woodwinds I. I've been playing VI's a lot, but it's nearly inconceivable that I've powered up 110 times. Perhaps in all the crashing, I'm being charged for extra starts.

I've fully expect to buy the extended library. But to my knowledge, that's not available yet. So I'm getting a bit concerned.

(This is on a Mac. But the answer may apply to either platform.)

  • That's it. My demo is over. In my next to last (failed) load attempt, I got a prompt that said my Flute demo was expiring. "This is the last time you'll be able to run Flute," or something like that. In my current load, Logic opened, but the Level 2 instruments are gone -- not in the channel strips and not in the VI menu.

I registered Orchestral Strings I on February 25. Then I registered Orchestral Strings II and Woodwinds I on February 28. I may love VI, but I didn't run it 120 times in eight days....

This is probably linked to the crashes. I've got a feeling some failed start-ups were registering as multiple uses. I know I didn't try to run Logic 120 times in one week. I'm not that patient. But when I tried to open a song file with VI's saved, could more than one query have been sent to the key?

In any case, please assist. I'll also pursue this by email, but I wanted to throw it out to the community.

  • just for information:
these demostarts are based on all installed individual instruments

running woodwinds I and orch strings I & II uses 15 demostarts opening the VI application each time
    (3 level I and 12 level II instruments = 15 instrument starts)

I think its's possible to get new demo codes, if you have contacted support@vsl.co.at

    best
