  • Error-- Not enough quota to process this command ???

After working in Sonar with the VSL VI (5 instances) for several hours my system sometimes becomes unstable and eventually freezes. When I try to save the file I've been working on I get an error stating "Not enough quota to process this command."

Anyone know what this means and what might be causing it.

    Thanks,
    Jay

  • Certainly sounds like a memory leak... What plugins are you using apart from VI?

Something is slowly allocating more and more memory and after a few hours other apps stop working correctly. When you try to save the file, Sonar needs to allocate some memory from the system for the operation and...wham, there you are stuck in the middle. [:(]

  • Yes, Mattias a memory leak makes sense to me too. Currently I'm using Wizooverb W2 and Sonitus Equilizer as plugins along with the 5 instances of VSL VI.

I don't know which program is responsible for gobbling up the memory but I hope it isn't the VI.

Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

  • Hey, Mattias, since several people (DG, Rob) have reported that their PC's run better with the default xp memory tweak setting (0,0,0,0) I'm going to try that setting also. Do you think that this could be creating my "not enought quota" problem" ?

  • You should definitely go back to default if the machine is tweaked. The tweaks may very well cause this as it restricts the memory pools.
