    dear ViennaInstruments users,
    since i've noticed the latest version of the Syncrosoft License Control Center is temporarily unavailable on their website i decided to provide the newest version i've downloaded (5.0.0.1) in our user area
    this version gives you a faster startup of ViennaInstruments than the one delivered on the intall CD

    Did you try this on MAC or PC? I downloaded and installed (PC version) and it trashed the licence key. I couldn't load up the VIs at all, then after a reboot it worked (partially) but I got messages for various individual instruments saying no licence present (first time bassoon then clarinet ensemble). Rolled back to 4.9.3 and everything works fine again.

    tim, it is the version running here on my PC, also after upgrading from the CD version. i've uploaded the files because some users had problems with earlier (downloaded) versions and they worked on their systems fine, actually fixed some issues.

    if your LCC doesn't run smoothly i'd recommend an uninstall from the controlpanel and a clean re-install after rebooting the computer.

    Hmm, tried again this morning and it is still causing issues with both my VI and Steinberg dongles. Think I'll sit this one out. Although it could possibly be that I use the dongles in a USB Hub (Belkin powered 7 port).

    i've just noticed the 5.0.0.1 versions are available again from the syncrosoft website
    you can also find a pdf there if you notice problems having installed a higher version

    christian, would this hold true on Mac as well?

    I'd say once every third Logic launch or so, I'll get a Syncrosoft error. The tough part is, I'm about eight minutes into the load before I can tell that something's wrong, loads being as slow as they are (for now).

    If Mac users with issues should go to 5.0.0.1, perhaps you could give us the procedure. Or do we just drag the Syncrosoft software to the trash? Thanks.

    after insaling the new version I can't get the vi to run in logic or as a standalone

    Edit:

    After unistalling and renstalling and then restarting I finally got it to work but I must say it is extremely frustrating to have to deal with it at all.
