I've a feature request for the next version of the VI - based on my assumptions of how it works....
[list:ada9f42f77]I'm assuming that when you first load/initalise the VI it does a scan of all the directories containing samples (as set in the DM) to ensure the files are present.
I guess this process is what takes most of the startup time (and its not the synchrosoft licence check) on first load.
Why not implement an option in the VI to bypass this - its unlikely many of us will change our samples round that much, you could always have a 2nd button to "rescan" the directories to ensure the files are there if any problems arise.
