  • The "play" button opens a popup, where you can choose to start a mp3 player or download the mp3 to your computer, and for most demos also tutorial datas for download.

  • For those that are interested, I managed to use the tutorials for Orchestral Strings Universal I & II on a single PC with 2GB RAM. It left about 65MB of RAM free but still played ok.

Saying that though I must complement the VSL team on the RAM Save feature. After using it on the 5 tracks the total memory usage went down from approx 1.2GB to about 9MB! Now that's what I call optimisation [[;)]]

  • The Woodwinds BA-3 universal-mode tutorial download is linked to the mp3 instead.

Is there something I should be doing other than clicking on the "play" arrow???

please make sure you don't have any popup-blocker active at least for vsl.co.at. in IE you could click on the information bar on the top of the browserwindow and select *allow popups from this website* - be assured we don't use any advertising popups [;)]

Thanks CM! Demos seem to work now. I must have inadvertantly blocked. The demos are Fantastic! Look forward to more of the extended pieces, i.e. "Meditation". Thanks again.

    Fixed now. Thanks Herb.

  • These demos are really great - well done and thanks.
Particularly useful are all of Christian Kardeis' packages with settings files.

One thing: Is it possible to add the tempi indications to the windows that open for each link? When I drag the midi files into Logic, I always get whatever tempo is set at the time.

I have also re-named the .aupreset files (most were just called "demo preset") and they now live in my VI user presets folder. Great for future reference.

    Thanks and regards - Colin

  • hi colin,

if you just doubleclick the midifiles they should open in Logic in the tempo they were created.

because I played them live into Logic without listening to a click, just using Logic like a tapemachine, they are mostly tempo 100 because this is the tempo of my Autoload Song.

Sometimes this changes, because for the Ensemble pieces, at least for the first track I needed the click as a conductor substitute.

  • Thanks Christian - that works.

  • Christian,

First of all I wanted to thank for what have been the most 'useful' demos to date. We all know that VSL makes for beautiful music - you have shown us time saving ways to achieve this.

Question - on the VC-3 p port and trill demo - I 'see' 'aftertouch' controller data in the sequencer BUT no controller changes in the VI - can you tell me what the 'aftertouch' data is controlling on those demos.

    Many thanks.
