  • Extended Lib- Discount Calculator

Don't know if this has been asked already, but I just checked the Discount Calculator to sort out the upgrade costs to the Extended Library.

When I logged in to display my registered items, none of the VI Standard volumes appeared as registered.

I selected the VI volumes manually, and then subtracted what I just paid for them from the Calculator's total, which should be "close" to the VIP upgradae price, but I'm not sure if this would be considered an official price.

Is there a time span for how long it takes for my newly registered VI's to appear in the Calculator?

Are there any suggestions for figuring out the upgrade price until the Calculator recognizes my registered VI purchases?

    Thanks,
    JWL

  • <<bump>>

I'd really like to find an answer to this. I have FE, PE, two Horizon's (Epic Horn and Fr. Oboe), plus 5 volumes of Standard VI.

I'm going to have to upgrade gradually, but I'd like to proceed with the Extended version of Orch. Strings 1 & 2.

If you look at the calculator, registered VI volumes are not counted. Also, the online calculator just showed a potential charge of $40 for something that was unchecked.

If this issue has already been addressed, could someone help me out by at least posting a link?

    Gratefully from,
    ... an eager paying cu$tomer. [[;)]]

  • JWL, it seems you are right - we will fix this soon. your calculation is correct though, christian

and remember: only a CRAY can run an endless loop in just three seconds.
  • Okay. Let's try this:

I bought the first five volumes in Standard Edition. Considering that I want to get the Extended Library for just Orch Strings 1 & 2, here are the calculations:

    Orch Strings 1 Standard = $595 (paid)
    Orch Strings 2 Standard = $535 (paid)

    subtotal = -$1130

    Orch Strings 1 Full Library = $1310
    Orch Strings 2 Full Library = $1310

    subtotal = $2610 - 1130 = $1480

    VIP Discounts:
    Orch Strings 1 = $675
    Orch Strings 2 = $630

    subtotal = -$1305

    $1480 (extended) - 1305 (VIP discount) = $175

Is $175 all there is to pay? [[:|]]

  • Hope I got it right:

Full price of Orchestral Strings I & II full version (standard plus extended) is 2500$.

Your have already purchased and payed standard (595 plus 535 = 1130),
    so there are 1370$ left.

The VIP discount if you own COP Pro Edition and want purchase Orch-Str I & II extended is 1305$

    So there are 65$ left.

65$ should be your upgrade price for Extended Orch-Strings I and II.

If all your products are registered on our site, you could purchase the extended version at Ilio or Best Service right now.

Sorry that we are late with the purchase option for the extended stuff in our own shop system.

    best
    Herb

  • Another thing that confuses me:

I go to Products and Shop-- and there are no links to buy the Extended license. I go to Basket, and it sends me back to the product info page... So, the only way for US customers to upgrade is to call ilio.com? I'm confused here.

    Also:

Should I see a DEMO key icon in the Syncrosoft LCC app window as it appears in the manual? Currently, I do not see this DEMO icon. Part of what makes me believe that I am not accessing the Extended Library for the 30 day period is that I've only got 2 patches of medium dynmaics using vibrato of 1.5 and 3 seconds. I believe that there must be more of these patches avaliable at longer lengths, as with one noVib string patch that lasts 6 seconds. I also would imagine that there might be some softer dynamics other than the few 'med' and 'str' I'm currently seeing. I seem to have lots of 'str' dynamics but few other choices.

    Thanks, christian!

    Are you KIDDING? REALLY????

    Okay, ignore my last post.

I went to ilio, but I didn't see the provision for having registered the Standard Edition. I'll just call ilio.

    $65.

    That's the best news I've had in months!!! [[[:D]]] [[[:D]]] [[[:D]]]

    Thanks Herb and Christian!!

  • Oh, wow!!

I'm getting the Extended for Strings 1 & 2 as soon as Ilio opens!!

    Thanks again, Christian!

  • i'm very happy you brought up this case as example - it shows pretty good the real advantage of the (unfortunately often not so welcomed) upgrade policy

  • Christian--

I think this may have been why lots of people have been a little confused. Even I over estimated the VIP price after trying again and again. Thanks to you, the VIP price was nearly 1/3 my lowest calculation. I had no idea I was so close to the full version.

Now that I understand this process, I can fully appreciate the VIP upgrade path much more. Most of all, I like the process of being able to upgrade in smaller increments as financial and musical needs dictate. It's so much easier than doing it all at once.

I can't thank you enough for your help in this.

    Best,
    JWL
