I have a Steinberg USB dongle.

Can I use this, or do I have ot buy a special dongle for VI ?

yes, you can use it. Make sure to register the key before registering your products!

You can use it, but wont have a demokey. I think this means that you wont be able to evaluate the Extended content. But I'm pretty sure you can get a demo license anyway of you contact VSL support and explain your case.

Is this the USB number I can see in the Syncsoft License controller ?

that's right, drew - usually it is a 6-digit number.
although i've been kind of surprised that in newer versions of the LCC (5.x.y.z) you can see an additional (hexadecimal) number seperated by a dash. i have no clue so far what it means nor do we have a field to enter it - i'll keep you updated

So, I've just finished installing ... as Marcussen rightly guessed there are no demos available.

I cannot even see the Level 2 articulations.

1 How can I get a demo license ?
2 When will I be able to upgrade ?

Until all the titles come, I am just loading Orch Strings I and II on the fourth slave (so I can keep working on the current GS system with PE).
