  • Converting PC slaves for VI - do I need SP 2?

    Hi there,

Have 4 slaves I need to convert to be 'VI machines' - currently sucessfully running giga on Service Pack 1a.

Is there any reason for me to update to Service Pack 2 (as far as running the new VI)?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rob

  • Don't know; I have both, but don't forget to undo the memory teaks that you did for Giga or VI won't work properly.

Hi DG - thanks for the heads up on this. I have all my PCs made for me - can you tell me how to undo these tweaks. Is it the 'utility' within GS?

    Many thanks.

If you haven't done a registry "hack" yourself, then you should be able to get the original back by setting the GS memory thingy to "Windows XP default". If you want to write down the original settings ( in case you need to get GS back for any reason) let me know and I'll tell how to find them!!

Thanks DG - I'll set that back as you say before installing.
