    Hello,

    My second question: I just read the test result on Mac, and saw that on a G5 the maximum number of instances (with host software Logic 7.1) is 24.
    This seems very little to me. Or is it more than enough for an orchestral set up with VI? The number of slots in Giga for instance is 64 (in my case).

    For programming an advanced stringquartett (= 4 instances/instruments) in Gigastudio I used a minimum of 2 computers, primary because of lack of RAM. On my Giga systems the maximum sample load amount is around 10.000 sample.
    Also for one instrument I had to use up to 8 miditracks sometimes more.
    With the VI you need for one instruments only one instance/miditrack.

    At last, theoretically it should be possible run more than 24 instances, if they are not performing unisono.
