  • What is "Level 2"?

I upgraded Horizon Chamber Strings to VI CS, I got it on this morning.

Installation is a little cumbersome, and I dont't understand now if I have been authorized for either Standard and/or Extended Library.

License Control Center says I have 168 remaining starts: what does it mean? I have downloaded the licence, the Collection tab shows "Vienna Instrument" and "Chamber Strings" with a little golden key on the left.

    I'm confused...

  • Level 2 is the extended set.

If it says you have 168 starts remaining it measn your still running in Demo mode.

  • Hi,

what did you do and what happened? There are 3 (!!) step by step installation guides in your package, which step didnĀ“t work?

IĀ“m working on an registration and installation video right now, that will hopefully make things clearer, as you see every step that is described in the manuals and quick installation guides onscreen, soon to be expected.

Thanks for a detailed description of your problems, you can also contact me at p.steinbauer@vsl.co.at

    I followed each step meticulously.

I put the vienna Key in the USB port, then installed the LCC software, registered VI in your site, got a code, pasted into the LCC software etc etc.

I can't rember the exact order: it was not a smooth procedure, to be honest, I only followed your guides line by line.

I sent you a mail with a picture of LCC screen.

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

everything is fine, you have 168 demo starts remaining (that is under the jey called "demo all applications") and you have registered Vienna Instruments and the Standard Level of Chamber Strings (under the key called "Collections").

You have 30 days to test the Extended Library, if your starts run out within these 30 days, you can easily refresh them in the LCC, using the "Wizzard" option => "Activate Date Licenses", this will give you another 180 starts. Remember that each instrument you loaded in your Directory Manager will take 1 start, so if you loaded all 4 Chamber String ensembles, each start will take 4 starts away.

If you purchase the Extended Library, you will get a certificate and a new serial number - go to the registration page, enter that number and you will receive your activation code for the Extended Library => download your license with the LCC=> Done!

    Hope that helps!

What were the problems you experienced? We are really eager to make everything as easy as possible for you!

  • I did not have a specific problem, Paul: installation is a little tedious, but it flows.

I was only confused by the 180 Starts + another 30 days + another 180 starts... but now everything is clearer.

Well, recapitulating: I have been authorized for the Standard Edition.

Where do I buy the Extended License (at upgrade price)?

    Thanks for your help,

    [:)] Roberto

  • Hi Roberto,

    I donĀ“t like installations myself.... [:D]

You can get the Extended Library from your distributor or musicshop or directly from our webshop.

    Enjoy the Vienna Instruments!

  • Please don't search for the Extended purchases in our webshop, we are still working on it.
