For a long time I've thought that this forum needs a "Tips and Tricks" section, as there have been many times where new users have asked the same old questions. So much so, that I've considered saving a standard reply and copy/pasting as necessary [:)]

With Vienna Instruments, a good start has been made with the FAQ, but I think that when those of us who are jumping on the Early Bird Special find good, possibly undocumented ways to achieve excellent results, it would be helpful to be able to add them to some sort of on-line database. This way new users could be brought up to speed very quickly.

Obviously it should be Moderated and, if necessary, edited by the VSL team, but I think that this could be an invaluable resource, as even though I've been on the VSL bandwagon for a couple of years, I still learn new tricks every time I work with these sounds.

    Just a thought.

  • I really love Tips and Tricks pages/forums/etc.

There are so many helpful users here on these forums and such a good energy, this would be a great additional resource.

  • Better yet - have video training provided for all legal customers (similar to Spectrsonics) IMHO - they have defined the new standard in customer service. The beautiful thing about these training videos is that the customer learns the library faster and MORE complete - posting examples - thereby helping sell the library ($$) for the developer. A win-win scenario for everyone. [[;)]]

  • EXACTLY!

I know there's so much knowledge floating around in the brains of people posting in this forum..having a Tips page would be Wonderful!

  • In addition to the good 'tips' idea - have a section for 'user matrixes'. I bet there are going to be some slick ones created.
