  • Pro Edition - Vienna Instruments - Pro Edition dictionary

Having built up a number of projects on the Pro edition in the future these may resurface requiring amendments, rescores, etc. Similarly there may be a situation where I would like to play a new piece on a computer that does no have Vienna Instruments enabled.

I believe Herb mentioned that the names for the VI's though using a lot of the original samples were being amended.

Is there a possibility of some sort of documentation that would list equivalent programmes (instruments) going in each direction where there are directly comparable sounds (excluding keyswitches)?

Perhaps it's too much work, or will be obvious from the names themselves, but some sort of smooth transition between libraries would be helpful.

  • This is a good idea. My own personal notebook of notes, terms, keyswitch quick references, and workarounds for PE has gotten pretty much out of control. It would be nice to have a tidy listing of amended names for VI-- if different from PE.

  • Great idea - you have my vote on this too.
    The more info, the better.

  • I would think this sort of thing has already been planned?
