    do i understand correctly that the alteration tool only works with the cube not the performance set??

    The alternation mode works with every gigfile, which uses keyswitches to trigger different playingstyles, for example up/down bowings, or switches between tremolos and sustains.

    So you can use this mode (it is of course available if you only buy the performance set) even for other libraries, for example advanced orchestra.
