The samples of VSL is pure, just as someone said in the forum that they can be treated as live classical recordings. So I want to ask, is there some techniques in real orcheatra recording mixing. And does they change something from the original raw recordings?
In my view, I think samples+IR(especially the GigaPulse with 100% wet) = living recording. So I want to know something about the mixing techniques.
And I want to share something I found. GigaPulse is an ultimate reverb on PC before the MIR, I think. I am using it like this: Every time I record one instrument in the virtual orchestra(Ensembles as one instruments), using the Multi Placement Mode or Single Placement mode according to the instrument(For example, ensembles in Multi and one flute in single). I think that the grid of Placement can be treated as a image of Orchestra Placement. For example, The 1st Violins should be seated in 1-2-11-10. So I link Mic L and R to 1 and 2, and Mic Surround L and R to 10 and 11, then do some volume adjustment of each mic. Then, record every instrument that with its own placement settings to samplitude and mix them.
Does this make sense in GigaPulse? And If this is correct, should I use some techniques in real orchestra recording and mixing to the recorded WAVs? And How?
Thanks everyone. And sorry for my poor english [:)]
