I hear you Alex. Hopefully it won't be too long. Obviously VSL has been coasting along so it's about time for a new release from them. [H]

Yea - I am with you - these guys need to put in some 'real hours' and get this stuff done! [:D]

Sure a piano is nice, but surely there are other products from VSL that are more important?
I mean, there are so many pianos

But they're not VSL VI pianos.
Regards,
Alex.

Piano is my primary instrument (have a few [:D] ) - but I am with Christian on this one. NO ONE has epic strings - 'many' developers have decent enough pianos -
VSL - please concentrate on what you loyal customer base is beggin' for - Epic Strings (complete library with full array of articulations)!

How about: EPIC PIANOS
Imagine 120 Steinways in Notre Dame Cathedral - maybe you can donate the one or the other from your storage..
Could be one of these URBAN SAX like events....

ROFL [[:|]]
It's a really good idea, [:P] but I still vote for the focus on the Romantic Epic Strings [[;)]]

I missed that one: Has anyone picked up my idea of Wagner style sections? ...gee.. you cannot be alway on top of things...
But I still like my idea of Massive Pianos: The last time, these URBAN SAX guys invaded our city (round about late 80's) and had their sax player run down the high rises by wire...
I really can envision Frankfurt City Skyline enriched by 120 Steinway Pianos lifted down on wires while playing "Freude Schöner Götterfunken" , acompained by 1200 running Epic Violins in Front of the Alte Oper.
Cool Running.,
Someone needs to sample that - we need to see the bigger part of things [;)]

I was just about to bring that up. I thought it was amazing that so many people could play the Rhapsody in Blue in time together. They did slow it down quite a bit though.
Seinfeld's famous line on 'more medicine is better'
"figure out what will kill me and then back it off just a little.'
Rob (84' should have backed it off to only 100 pianos - really hilarious!!)

Don't you remember the Opening Ceremony for the 1984 Olympics? All those ridiculous pianos? I still laugh today when I think about it [:D]

Gee... those where the days my friend:
Steffi Graf won tennis, First Time for synchronized swimming, Mary Lou Retton win gymnastics and Bill Suitor with the Rocket Pack....
first Marathon for women...
my first big bike motorcycle... haven't met my wife yet...
And no samples from all of these....

Strings definitely more important.
800 pianos out there, of which at least 3 are good[;)]
EPIC STRINGS most important.

My first girlfriends brother was really driven me crazy .. he practized 10 hours a day violin , seven days, next to our room.
His tiny room was packed, under the roof, with notes.. nothing else, tons of notes, endless hours of practice .. while we had some fun.
Now , twenty years later, guess who is famous and guess who has another life..
OK, I am not famous...I just own some dozen of computers..

I think VSL is well aware of the desire for strings, strings, strings. At some point no doubt they will begin to sample some piano strings as well.
Hey, it worked for Henry Cowell, why not?

What's this talk about EPIC strings and 300 piano's??
I thought VSL was first going to complete their triangle VI (epic edition of course)?
Or did I think wrong?
