I am a music composer considering purchasing VSL products to create and sell compositions. Before I make my purchase, I’ve got a few questions about your EULA.
I have been contracted to deliver my original song compositions in the form of segments/stems (.wav files) that can be rearranged inside software sold by my client. They take these compositional segments and rearrange them in multiple variations that can be further generated by an end user, and then rendered out to a single audio file.
My contract states that my compositions must be free and clear of any licensing issues that would prevent my client from distributing them as described above. The segments I’m delivering are all 'elements of a composition', and are intended to be used only as such. It’s possible that my compositions could be further manipulated and saved out in audio software and possibly used by end-users in other compositions. While this may be the case, in no way shape or form, will any VSL samples will ever be delivered to a client as they exist in your collection; all my deliverables will be in the context of original 'compositions' made using your sounds.
Your EULA is quite complex and I am wondering if the above scenario would be in any violation of your License?
Any advice you can give me that will assist me in providing to my client, free-and-clear deliverables using VSL sounds, is appreciated.
Thanks,
